This open sourced project aimed to empower artists to discover blockchain technology and fall into the rabbit hole - myself included. Funded by a grant that was received by connecting the two blockchains Ethereum and Dogecoin, the art project allowed artists and technical blockchain programmers to collaborate in an emerging field through meetups, hackathons, maker spaces, and online communities. With a goal to create a penetrable public art space in the shape of a Klein Bottle measuring 23 ft. high, 30 ft. wide, and 40 ft. long, this public installation was a nexus for creative cooperation and collaborations between arts and engineering;. A 3D medium for exploring blockchain technology implementations in a decentralized world.
My contribution included:
50 person meetup in SF bridging artists and blockchain community with small breakout groups with topics including:
Fundraising
Installations within the Installation
Decentralized Art Community
Connecting the structure to the blockchain
ETHDenver Maker Space: The Maker Space was born at ETHDenver 2018 in response to a collective interest in experimenting with art and technology to enable the creation and exploration of art through the lens of blockchain technology.
